Beginning in 2013, the Tennessee football program unveiled a new "Smokey Grey" uniform.  In 2015, the look was enhanced, highlighted by a custom helmet with features symbolizing one of the natural wonders of our region, the Great Smoky Mountains.

Over the course of three seasons, these helmets made headlines -- garnering National Helmet of the Year recognition in 2016 -- and were part of significant moments in Tennessee football history, including the 2016 home victory over Florida and the Music City Bowl triumph over Nebraska, during which Derek Barnett set the all-time Tennessee sacks record.

The Smokey Grey helmet is a piece of the Tennessee football experience, one that can now reside with our faithful members of Vol Nation.
